Frequently asked questions:
How do I ship my transmission?
Don’t sweat this part…. we’re here to support you every step of the way. Once your transmission order is placed, Dev will give you a call for further support. There are many ways to get this done, but start by simply draining the transmission of all fluids, wrap it with plastic wrap, and strap it down to a pallet. From there, you’ll want to take it to a distribution center such as: Southeastern Freight Lines or R&L Carriers. Next, you’ll get the pallet weighed (usually comes in around 160 lbs–185 lbs). Finally, fill out the BOL form, and have it shipped directly to Janis Transmission in Arkon, Ohio. Super simple process!
How much does shipping usually cost?
As of today, the cost is generally around $105-$255 for shipping across the United States. (one-way)
With the advancement of technology, we’ll continue to be on the hunt for a more affordable and convenient route for shipping. Ideally, we’d like to have it picked up and delivered right to your door. If you have suggestions we’d be happy to hear your transportation ideas.
How long does it take to build?
Once your rebuild-able core is received, our goal is to have your transmission back to you within 45 days.
